| information | Title: Love Won't Wait Writers: Madonna and Shep Pettibone Producers: Madonna and Shep Pettibone Album: Demo for the album Bedtime Stories (1994) Length: 5 ' 11'' | | coments | Love Won't Wait is one of the songs that Madonna and Shep Pettibone composed for the album she was about to release after Erotica. They also wrote songs as: Something's Coming Over Me, I Will Always Have You, I'd Rather Be Your Lover (songs that would be part of her Bedtime Stories album, the first and the second with diferent titles - Secret and Inside Of Me) and Bring It (not included in the album). As a curiosity, we can't see the name of Shep Pettibone in the album credits. Although Madonna had several demos recorded for her new project, she changed her mind and abandoned Shep to start working with Neelle Hopper, Babyface, Dallas Austin and Dave Hall. Maybe the bad acceptance of her Erotica album made her change the production. But one of those demos was given to Gary Barlow, and he included it in his first solo album, Open Road, in 1997. Madonna didn't want to appear in the song's credits, but Gary did it, using that as a great free advertising for the song and album (having a song written by Madonna is a great advantage). Gary Barlow recorded Love Won't Wait, as an exact copy of the demo Madonna had recorded, only making it shorter and faster. He released the tune as his second single, and reached a great #1 in UK. The demo recorded by Madonna was available in the internet, but from a poor recoding made in a record shop from Paris called Luck Records, with a low quality and some voices and noise. But the original demo with a great quality can be downloaded nowadays, with a clear sound. This tune is a typical Shep Pettibone production, and Madonna's voice is really powerful, reminding us some other songs as Deeper & Deeper or Rescue Me. This song would have suited perfectly in her Bedtime Stories album. When Madonna was asked for the reasons of not including it, she said she didn't feel those emotions when releasing the album, because she lived very diferent moments at that time. | | collector items | | | The first solo album from Gary Barlow was named Open Road, and although there are several versions of this Cd, all of them contain the album versión of Love Won't Wait. | | | This is the cover of the single Love Won't Wait. | | | | gary barlow | | Gary Barlow was born in 1971, in Frodsham (UK). He is known for being one of the five guys from the Take That group, a boy band made for teenagers, in which he was the main composer and a great singer. When the band was disolved in 1996, he started his solo carreer. He released his first album, Open Road, that had a great success in UK. His second album, Twelve Months Eleven Days hasn't had the same success. Gary is a great artist with a huge potential, and we hope he can use it in his new projects.
